We visited Jalazone Refugee Camp. This was a tented camp in 1948 when Jordan gave the land to refugees from the civil war to the west. They all hoped to return to their homes soon. In 1967, the Israelis invaded and the refugees were still here. The "camp' has now been here nearly 70 years and has a fairly permanent but slightly chaotic look. We were generously welcomed and enthusiastically shown some of their social projects.
Palestinian bread with Za'tar that we were given when we arrived.

In another school they have built a small playground out from the school on the roof of the mosque.
| The key is the Palestinian symbol for the return home that they hope for. |
