This morning we visited Wadi Qelt and the monastery of St George, carved into a rock wall in the Judean Desert. The desert is very beautiful.

It was probably much quieter than this in days gone by!
Actually none of us got in as there was a special service going on and they were only admitting Orthodox Christians!
